 | On Monday, March 26,2007, Jack Matlock, the last U.S. Ambassador to the Soviet Union, addressed the Columbia community as part of the Eisenhower Forum speaking series. The ambassador discussed the current political situation in Russia and current U.S.-Russian relations.
Students, faculty members, and invited guests enjoyed Ambassador Matlock's hour long address. Following his speech, attendees asked the ambassador various questions ranging from crime in modern Russia to the government in Kazakhstan. Pastries from the Hungarian Pastry Shop were enjoyed by attendees following this event.
