Former CIA Director Addresses Columbia

The Inaugural Eisenhower Forum Event

On September 19, 2005, R. James Woolsey, President William Jefferson Clinton's CIA Director, addressed the Columbia community as the inaugural speaker for the Eisenhower Forum speaking series. The former CIA Director discussed the threats of Islamist terrorism.

Over one hundred students, faculty members, and invited guests enjoyed Mr. Woolsey's hour long address. Following his speech, attendees asked the former CIA Director various questions relating to energy dependence, Baathist ideology, Iran and the nuclear situation, and Islamist terrorism. Pastries from the Hungarian Pastry were enjoyed by attendees following this event.
