The message below is the message from the first president of TSA at Columbia University.

      The Thai Students Association was started by a group of students, just like yourselves, predominantly because of interests and need to contribute. Given our background, it was natural for us to wonder about our heritage, to want to learn more about Thai culture, language, history, to want to interact with others of similar background, to enjoy good home-cooked Thai food. Though there are many outstanding extracurricular organizations at Columbia, there was no one organization that could meet these needs. In starting the Thai Students Association, we hope we have created a supportive, learning resource from which everyone can benefit.
