Public Safety Advisory
Some on the Morningside campus may be aware of police activity on the east side of Amsterdam Avenue at 119th Street on Sunday morning. NYPD officers are investigating a shooting of two people, one fatally, at approximately 3:00 a.m. outside of Radio Perfecto. The incident began with an argument inside the bar that continued outside on the street. According to witnesses, the assailants fled north on Amsterdam Avenue, then east on West 119th Street, toward Morningside Drive. The victims were not Columbia affiliates.
