ADRASTUS, king of Argos, was the leader of the Seven Against Thebes. His daughters married Polynices and Tydeus. Adrastus led the attack on behalf of Polynices's claim to the Theban throne, after Eteocles refused to give it up. Adrastus was the only survivor of the siege (Thebaid XI.424-446; Roman de Thèbes 9729-10230).

After the siege of Thebes and the deaths of the brothers Eteocles and Polynices, Adrastus goes home, and Thebes is desolate, Anel 57-63. [Amphiorax: Campaneus: Ethiocles: Hemonydes: Parthonope: Polymyte: Tydeus]
