LATONA was the mother of Apollo and Diana by Jupiter. Diana was sometines addressed as Latonia, "Latona's daughter" (Met I.696, VIII.394). Isidore explains that Diana is sometimes called Latonia because she was Latona's daughter (Etym VIII.xi.59).

Troilus addresses the moon (Diana) as "Latona the clere," Tr V.655. [Diane]
