Hand-coloured aquatint, drawn and engraved by Thomas Daniell, on thick Whatman paper (615 x 475mm to 650 x 490 mm), dated 1795, from part I of Thomas and William Daniell's Oriental Scenery, London: 1795-1797. A fine view from part I of the Daniells' magnificent Oriental Scenery. The Daniells played a pre-eminent role in recording and documenting the country for European eyes."
