Saudi women bloggers are frequent posters on each others sites and have formed a close network. On November 12, a meeting was organized at an undisclosed location in Riyadh for Saudi women bloggers. The event was organized by blogger Saudi Woman and included bloggers from around Riyahdh including Carol Fleming (American Bedu ). In a posting about the convention, she said,
"As female bloggers in Riyadh we found that each of us share a similar goal in wanting to share views, experiences, observations and general daily life of Saudi Arabia with our readers. We all agreed that the local and international media do not do a balanced or always fair job of portraying realities of Saudi Arabia."
Female bloggers in other areas of Saudi Arabia are trying to arrange similar such meetings with the bloggers in their areas. However, for female bloggers to meet, they must be careful to keep their location undisclosed and inclusion limited. Saudi Woman, in her post organizing the convention said,
"Call me paranoid but I will only disclose the locatoin to ladies after verification. Lots of weirdoes to watch out for on both sides of the spectrum; ultra conservatve muttawas hell-bent against women and desperate perverts looking for a love interests, so for everyone's saftey we'll do it my way."
