A study found that the frontal lobes of people who spent a great deal of time playing video games are actually formed differently than the frontal lobes of people who don’t play video games.

While behavioral neuroscientists don’t know exactly what the ramifications of that differing formation is, they can guess: The prefrontal cortex is the part of the brain used for decision-making.

This image (below) is part of an advertisement for CLICKNREAD, a computer game that teaches kids phonics. It hasn't yet been reviewed by the US Department of Education. Because some say kids' social and language-acquisition skills are hampered by too much time spent interacting with digital media, some say programs like this one are doing more harm than good.
