WELCOME

I completed my PhD in the Department of Political Science--with specialization in international relations and comparative politics--and was a fellow in the IGERT-International Development and Globalization Program at Columbia University. My fields of study are International Relations/Security and Comparative Politics.

My research interests focus on the role of international actors in social and political processes in fragile and conflict-affected states (FCs), particularly in the areas of:
  • Peacekeeping and peacebuilding postwar processes
  • Postwar democratization at the grassroots level
  • Governance and public service reforms
  • Engagement with non-state actors (e.g., traditional institutions)
  • Political participation
  • Social cohesion
  • Women empowerment
