RESEARCH PAGE

My research agenda consists of theoretical and empirical inquiries into issues related to civil war termination and postwar political processes in fragile and conflict-affected states (FCs). It has been carried out at both macro- (cross-national) and micro- (across individuals and communities) levels of analyses and addresses both social science and policy questions. I am involved in a number of ongoing cross-national and survey projects that have received generous financial support from the United States Institute of Peace (USIP), the Folke Bernadotte Academy and the United Nations.
