These images from the 1950s and 60s are shown in the film mainly just for atmosphere, without explaining who, where, or what. Some of them might not even be from the Jazzkeller, but are related to it in some way. Thanks to Heidi Laird, author of The Frankfurt Kitchen — who, as a teenage German jazz lover in Frankfurt, frequented the Jazzkeller just a couple years before I did in 1960-61 — for confirming my tentative IDs of some of the players.
