Mom's younger sister Doris with her first husband Earl Jasperson, who served in the Army in WWII, with whom she had five children — Earl, Joanne, Michael, Judy Ann, and Jean Louise — between 1944 and 1954. Judy Ann was to drown in the river at age 8 together with Shirley's daughter Cheryl Fay in 1960. Later Doris would marry Clyde Burgess, another WWII Army veteran, and they would have twin boys Len and Larry in 1962.
