Hohenecken 1975 - Photo #4

Hohenecken in 1975. When I lived near there in the 1960s, it looked the same: just a small village where people lived. No bars, just the Gasthaus of Oma and Opa, another smaller Gasthaus that didn't serve food at all (Gasthaus Pfaelzerwald), and a pizzeria on the main road on the outskirts of town catering mainly to passing commuters. There was a lake, Gelterswoog, for swimming, but none of the tennis courts, bowling alleys, stadiums, minigolf, or convention centers that pop up now when I do a Google search! Evidently Hohenecken has grown bit since I last saw it.
