This page was inspired by the unprovoked US attack on Iraq in 2003 and rapidly grew to its present size with contributions from all over the world. On 20 January 2023 I received email from Ibraheem Youssef, Station Montréal Design Bureau Director, who created a more presentable version of this page as an Open Source community project, with many new languagess added. Click the image at right or THIS LINK to see it. —Frank da Cruz, 20 January 2023
Pace سلام שלום Hasîtî शान्ति Barış 和平 Мир
Let's show the world how people of many nations can cooperate to accomplish something small, which can be a first step towards accomplishing something bigger. IF YOU KNOW HOW TO SAY "PEACE" in a language that is not listed or filled in below (or that needs correction), please send it in and we will add it to the table (please also let us know whether you wish to be given credit). As new entries arrive, we will add them to the table and also try to add them to the PEACE FLAG. Unicode UTF-8 encoding is preferred for submissions and is used in this page (but we will accept text in any form or character set). The Code in column 1 of the table is the ISO 639-1 language code (or 639-2 for languages that don't have 639-1 codes). Locations in the Where column might not be absolutely precise and comprehensive. Country names in their full, native-script, former, and/or alternative forms can be found HERE. The table is in language-code order, since any other order would either favor English or make no sense.
