I am an associate professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Columbia University.  I am also a member of the
Data Science Institute at Columbia. Here is my CV.

I received my Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Duke University, where I worked with Lawrence Carin. I was then a post-doc in the Computer Science departments at Princeton University with David Blei and UC Berkeley with Michael Jordan.


Research group

My research interest is in the general area of statistical machine learning, including:
  • Probabilistic models and inference techniques,
  • Bayesian nonparametric methods,
  • Signal and image processing applications.
