I am an assistant professor in the Department
Electrical Engineering at Columbia
University. I am also a member of the
Institute at Columbia. Here is my CV. (Other random info about me here.)
I received my Ph.D.
in Electrical and
Computer Engineering from Duke University, where I worked with Lawrence Carin. I was then a
post-doc in the Computer Science departments at Princeton
University with David Blei and UC
Berkeley with Michael Jordan.
I am teaching Machine Learning as part of the ColumbiaX MicroMasters in Artificial Intelligence starting January 16, 2017.
I will again help teach the Duke-Tsinghua Machine Learning Summer School at Duke Kunshan University.
My research interest is in the general area of statistical machine learning, including:
models and inference techniques,
and information processing.
