What is consider “formal” in Raval? Its the banks or is it apparently the remittance places?

—

Huge amount of money flows through the remittance places in El Raval everyday, obviously. The fact you can see on the map is this thing: in some area where the remittance places is concentrated, you can barely see the formal banking instruments like the ATM, or the bank itself. While in the closest area flooded by tourists you can find the ATM at every corner of the street, there are some areas that flooded by remittance places, and not even a single ATM.

Formal or informal,  immigrants sends money home. They choose the one that takes lower price.
