Sehr geehrter Herr !

Wir beehren uns Ihnen anbei ein Schreiben des hiesigen Musikkritikers Dr. K. Grunsky|2 zu übersenden, welches eine Besprechung Ihres Buches ”Neue musikalische Theorien und Phantasien I” im Schwäbischen Merkur3 in Aussicht stellt. Wir möchten Sie freundlichst bitten, unter Rücksendung des Briefes uns mitzuteilen, welchen Bescheid wir Herrn Dr. Grunsky erteilen, bezw. ob wir Ihr Pseudonym4 lüften sollen.

Dear Sir,

We have the honor of sending you herewith a letter from the local music critic Dr. K. Grunsky,2 which offers the prospect of a review of your book New Musical Theories and Fantasies, vol. I, in the Schwäbischer Merkur.3 When you return the letter, please let us know what answer we should give to Dr. Grunsky, and whether we should reveal the name behind your pseudonym.4
