Sehr geehrter Herr!
Ihre Wünsche inbetreff der Drucklegung der “Neuen musikalischen Theorien” haben wir der Druckerei übermittelt, welche die bis jetzt von Ihnen durchgesehenen Bogen dementsprechend in Ordnung bringen und dann Revisionsabzüge für Sie anfertigen wird. Für die Folge wird Ihnen die erste Korrektur in Fahnen zugehen.
Anbei beehren wir uns Ihnen gemäß Ihrem Wunsche den Teil des Manuskripts zurückzureichen, zu welchem an den bezeichneten Stellen noch Notenbeispiele fehlen. Dazu er- {2} lauben wir uns zu bemerken, daß auch auf das schon gesetzten Seite 41 noch ein Notenbeispiel fehlt.

Dr. Heinrich Schenker Vienna III.
Reisnergasse [ sic ] 38.
Dear Sir,
We have passed your wishes in respect of the printing of the “New Musical Theories” on to the printers, who will now make the changes to the gatherings you have looked through so far and then prepare revised proofs for you. From now on, the first proofs will be sent to you in galleys.
We have the honor of returning, in accordance with your wishes, the portion of the manuscript from which music examples are still lacking at the points marked. We take the liberty of pointing out in this connection that one music example is lacking also on p.41, already set.
