Sehr geehrter Herr Professor !

ergebenst

Dear Professor,

Forgive me for not having replied to yours of January 301 until today, but I was unwell for several days and thereafter was faced with such an enormous backlog of work that I had to set a lot of it aside.

As concerns the .....[?], I should like to point out that I know nothing of any request by Professor Halm to get to know your other works.2 The moment I got your message I ordered all of your works to be sent off to him; it goes without saying that publicity copies of this sort are charged to our account.

With kind regards,
Yours truly,
