COMMENTARY: FOOTNOTES: 1 i.e. OC 52/920, setting a rate of 6 Kroner per plate, and listing Bach keyboard works that S may edit, and OC 52/422, confirming the commission of the Chromatic Fantasy & Fugue and fixing the 200 Kr. honorarium for it. 2 Verlagschein: literally “publisher’s slip”; presumably = OC 52/423, October 17, 1909 (the date on which S signed it). 3 H incorrectly uses Bearbeitung, “arrangement,” when he should have used Ausgabe, “edition” (he himself had used analytische Herausgabe, “analytical edition”, in OC 52/422, June 24, 1909, and the phrase on the eventual title-page is kritische Ausgabe, “critical edition.” SUMMARY: © Commentary, Footnotes, Summary Ian D.
