Sehr geehrter Herr Professor!
hochachtungsvoll

Re: S. Deutsch Estate
Dear Professor,
I have received a letter from Dr. Friedmann, the contents of which are as follows:
“I refer, in regard to your inquiry as to the situation concerning the matter of the legacy, to the {36v} communication already conveyed to you that, in view of the circumstance that the testatrix was not an Austrian citizen, her total personal assets were not authorized by the fiscal authority for control designation; and I am proceeding, after assenbling all the evidence from the Office of State Finance, to bring about authorization with reference to the fact that the beneficiaries are Austrian citizens.
To this end, I require proof that Dr. Schenker is an Austrian citizen, and I ask you to procure this for me if at all possible.”
I remain,
With kind regards,
[ sign’d: ] Türkel
