Handwritten letter, in hand of Jeanette Schenker, from Schenker to Jonas, dated October 7, 1930

diktiert!

Sehr geehrter Herr Doktor!

dictated!

Dear Doctor,

Mr. Vrieslander1 has in fact left Munich and has gone to Locarno, because he could no longer materially support himself in Munich.

Professor Hermann Roth2 left Munich earlier and is now a professor at the Stuttgart Music Academy. The Munich musicians who were in my circle were in touch with these two gentlemen. True, I had additional relationships with Munich individuals, who professed allegiance to me in letters, but they certainly belong to private circles remote from your intentions and wishes.

Finally I must mention that Mr. Cube,3 who is a professor in Duisburg, came to me from Munich, where he certainly lived in the company of musicians, but, as you see, all the gentlemen were unable to support themselves in Munich.

For your kind participation I thank you warmly; I am again quite well, except that in order to save my eyes, I am dictating the letter. With best greetings,

Yours,
