Sehr geehter Herr Direktor!

Seit einigen Tagen höre ichs, daß z.B. H. Prof. Godovsky,1 R. Robert,2 u.

Dear Director,

A few days ago I heard that, e.g., Prof. Godovsky,1 R. Robert,2 and other have examined my work on the Chromatic Fantasy [& Fugue]. If proofs already exist, why are they being withheld from me? Please will you be so kind as to drop me a line explaining the matter to me.

With kind regards,
Yours truly,
[ sign’d: ] H. Schenker
