Five different kinds of standardized or published tests described were: Multilevel Achievement Tests and Test Batteries, Intelligence and Scholastic Aptitude Tests, Career/Educational Interest Inventories, Attitude Scales, and Personality Measures. The chapter provided examples of widely used, published instruments in each category, the contexts in which they are typically used, and how we should select them to meet local needs.
