O. Administrative Adjudication
51. Agency appeals boards

Most enabling statutes give pseudo-judicial power to some entity within the agency to settle disputes concerning the agency's actions. Violations of agency rules are prosecuted by one branch of the agency and brought before a form of internal adjudicatory board. To temper possible abuse of power, the decisions of these boards can be appealed in the general federal court system. The decisions of these boards are gathered into reporters, which parallels the practice of the general court system. The specific titles of the various reporters are to be found in the tables sections of the BlueBook. Many of the agency decisions are now also available through the agency websites, although the websites tend to be focussed on the rulemaking process, leaving decisions somewhat hard to find.
