• Midterm: In class on Wednesday, November 6th.
  • Closed book but a two-side sheet of formulae may be used.
  • All material up through representations of rotations (problem set #7) will be covered.
  • A practice midterm provides some guidance regarding what to expect.
• Final: 9:00 am to 12:00 m on Monday, December 16, 2019 in 424 Pupin
  • Closed book but a two-sided sheet of formulae may be used.
  • A practice final exam has been posted.
  • There will be a review session on Thurs Dec. 12, from 4 - 6 pm in 329 Pupin.
  • Material covered: up through degenerate perturbation theory and the addition of angular momenta.
• Homework:
  • Problem sets will be distributed on this website on or before Friday and will consist of  3-4 problems
  • They will be due the following Friday (seven days later).
  • Completed problem sets can be turned in during the problem session or put in the GR6037 box in the Department office.
• Teaching assistants:  The graders for the course are Bigeng Wang ([email protected]) and Tianle Wang ([email protected]). Questions about the problems and grading can be directed to them as well as to Prof. Christ.
• Grades: Grades will be determined from a weighted average of the homework (20%), the midterm exam (30%) and the final exam (50%).
