Introduction
My primary background is in Mathematics & Computing and later I obtained my graduate degree in Computational Biology. Presently, I am an Associate Research Scientist at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC), working in the area of Computational Biophysics, Systems Biology and Genomics.

Previously, I was an Associate Research Scientist (Apr 2020 - Aug 2020) and Postodoctoral Research Scientist (Apr 2015 - Apr 2020) at CUIMC, working under the mentorship of Dr. Joachim Frank, Nobel Laureate (2017). I was working on developing computational methods for studying the structure and dynamics of molecular machines such as the Ribosomes and also determining high resolution 3D structures from cryo-EM images.

Details in "Research" section.

Background
I moved to New York City on April 27, 2015 for continuing my postodoctoral training. I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in August 2012. I was a PhD student in the Joint Carnegie Mellon-University of Pittsburgh, PhD Program in Computational Biology (CPCB).I worked on Single Molecule Approach to Biology with my thesis advisor Dr. Marcel Bruchez in the Computational Biology Department and Molecular Biosensor and Imaging Center at Carnegie Mellon University.

I completed my undergraduate studies in Mathematics & Computing in 2006 with an Integrated Master of Science (BS+MS) degree, from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
