Tom Koch

Ph.D.

I am now a full-time software engineer at Google Cloud, working in the Fabric Border Router team, and also actively engage in both research and teaching at Columbia. I defended my dissertation at Columbia University in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Columbia University under Ethan Katz-Bassett. I received my B.S. and M.S. degree from The Cooper Union under Fred Fontaine. My research focuses on optimizing routes from users to large Internet services hosted by major cloud/content providers, Internet Measurement, and intent-based networking. You can find my dissertation here and my CV here.
