Toroidal electron equilibria
In a pure toroidal field, a quasi-neutral plasma is not confined (vertical _B and curvature drifts)
If there is sufficient space charge, the ExB drift creates an effective rotational transform
- Particle orbits are confined
- No magnetic surfaces but closed drift surfaces
Stable equilibria are predicted to exist
Radial diffusion will be finite, due to magnetic pumping
