Meeting Time: Monday through Thursday, 10:45 to 12:20 in 417 Schermerhorn.

Makeup Day: Class will meet on Friday, July 16 as a makeup day for the Independence Day holiday.

Writing Assignments: Students will write one short paper based on a topic approved by Prof. D.
A field trip summary may be used in place of this writing assignment.

Field Trips: There will be an optional field trip on July 29. For those who can attend, field trip summaries may be used in place of class writing assignment.

Thursday, July 29: Field trip to the American Museum of Natural History to study evidence for the formation and age of the Earth, the evoulution of vertebrates (including dinosaurs and mammals), and the evolution of humans. Meet on the museum steps on Central Park West at 9:45 am. We will be done by 2:00.

Lab Section: The lab meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 to 3:10 in 218 Schermerhorn. The lab is optional but recommended for a more hands-on experience.
