Facilities > Classrooms > 309 Havermeyer Instructor's Electronic Podium 309 Havemeyer Lecture Hall seats 339 students. This lecture can handle most multimedia applications. The instructor's equipment is enclosed in a stationary wood cabinet. A KEY IS NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS PODIUM. A MICROPHONE CAN BE PICKED UP FROM THE DEPARTMENTAL OFFICES. Instructor's Electronic Podium The equipment available to the instructor includes a mounted Eiki projector. Video is displayed on an electronic screen. The podium contains the various electronic resources available to the instructor. These include a Powermac G5, a VCR, a DVD/CD player and microphone system. The Powermac has a built-in CD-Rom drive and an ethernet network connection for digital presentations. A room customized Crestron touchpanel controls the multimedia experience including the audio-visual equipment and the physical room environment (lights/program volume). The system utilizes an audio amplifier that powers two Optimus speakers located at the front of the classroom.
