The Power of Light will teach photography students to take amazing, exciting and entralling photos by harnessing the power of light in their images. Photohgraphers will be sent out in groups to shoot photos around the neighborhood, returning in the afternoon for critiques of their work. (Students in this sequence will be required to bring a digital camera to participate.)

Media Convergence will teach students to converge your publications/classes and deliver a story using the best medium available for your audience. During this session, students wll cover: formatting stories for the web, blogging, Podcasting, video, and enhancing audio and print publications through new media.

Podcasting: the Basics will explore what a Podcast is, how to produce one using photos, audio and video, and how to post it to the web. Examples of the use of sound and images to tell a compelling multimedia story will be provided. All software, hardware and other production needs will be outlined.

Pre-registration is required for all three seminars and there are registration limits per school.

AGI Training Sessions

CSPA has partnered with Aquent Graphics Institute (AGI) to present two day-long technology sequences during the 2008 Fall Conference.

Two of AGI's Adobe-certified instructors will join CSPA's Conference program to present hourly sessions on two of Adobe's most popular CS3 software programs: Indesign and Photoshop.

As the day progresses, session topics will change and difficulty levels will increase. The morning sessions will cover the basics while the afternoon sessions will cover more advanced topics.

Space in each class is limited and there is no standing room allowed in the classrooms. Plan on getting to each class before it begins to ensure you get a seat. CSPA RedShirt staff members will ensure that seating capacities are respected during each hour.
