Skitt and Bryan called  and  discussed v/ith them,  at  great
length,  the  extension of the  Rapid Transit  system;     the  upshot
being that v/c  agreed  to m;ike  three  tracks  on the  9th Avenue,
three  tracks  on the  Third Avenue,  four tracks  on the  Second
Avenue;     m/ilce  con-nections between the  Sub';/ay  and Elevated at
53d  Street  and  at  149tla Street;     extend  the  subv/ay dov/n Broad¬
v/ay,  tho Elevated up Jerome Avenue,   and connect   tlie Bronx line
v/ith the  sub-urban at  180th Street.
