Biography
Joseph Brown is a Ph.D. student in the Political Science Department at Columbia. He studies international relations topics, particularly theories of international politics, international cooperation, the effects of nuclear weapons and arms control on patterns of conflict, and the broader impact of technology on the international system.
Prior to entering the Ph.D. program, Joe earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at Wesleyan University, a Master of Arts in history at Brandeis University, and a Master of Arts in political science at Columbia, through the Political Science Department's one-year master's program.
In the Ph.D. program, Joe is also pursuing a minor concentration in quantitative methodology.
