Current Research
My research interests range from the ethical to the emotional implications of how people provide social support in both healthy couples and when one member of the dyad is a patient with a severe brain injury. Specifically, I am interested in how people talk about support (linguistically and acoustically) and how these differences predict different outcomes for both the support recipient and support provider. Ethically these differences become important when differences predict different outcomes for patients with severe brain injury. I am currently an adjust associate research scientist with Prof. Niall Bolger.
