Definitions Kidney Disease

• Acute Kidney Injury

• Absolute increase creatinine 0.3 mg/dl

• Relative increase creatinine 1.5 from baseline

• Urinary Output < 0.5 ml/kg X 6 hours

• Oliguria < 400 cc/day

• Anuria < 50 cc/day

• * Absence of anemia and normal sized kidneys suggest acute as opposed to chronic kidney disease
