CU-CRN has organized the following information on conflict resolution student organizations at Columbia as well as information on internships and professional opportunities in the field:

Conflict Resolution Student Organizations

Conflict Resolution Working Group - (School of International & Public Affairs) In the fall of 1998, a core group of SIPA students founded the Conflict Resolution Working Group.  The group meets regularly in informal settings to discuss current events and topics pertinent to current conflicts in various stages around the world.  The student working group also organizes lectures and forums that provide the Columbia community opportunities to meet and exchange information, ideas and dialogue about crucial issues in the field. Internships

Pace University - Assistant Ombuds, Full time & Part time Internship, Salaried & Stipend.  Ombuds Interns will handle concerns and complaints, mediate conflicts, facilitate group dialogues and town-hall meetings, track aggregated data and serve as a consultant to the president and other administrators to suggest changes to policies and procedures to better serve the community as well as conducting training sessions in conflict resolution to students and staff, participate in the development of peer mediation programs and serve on various committees.  For more info contact:  John Barkat, University Ombuds, Office of the President, 212-346-111, [email protected]
