19 November 2001 - The Lady Lions finished 22nd in the DI xc nationals today! Caitlin Hickin finished 20th overall gaining All-American status. See results here
regionals - women return against strong field
10 November 2001 - The women continued to roar this weekend at the North-East Regionals. The light-blue women will return to the national meet for the second year in a row. Sophomore Caitlin Hickin finished an outstanding 4th place. See results women | men.

29 September 2001 - The Lions burst onto the national scene today! Columbia women took 11th place, men took 25th. Sophomore Caitlin Hickin finished 19th individually. See brief write-up and results here!
5th avenue mile
29 September 2001 - Ray Biersbach, Columbia '99, finished third in the Fifth Avenue Mile today in a time of 4:05.2. Ray was gearing up for the New York Marathon. See results here
varsity debut
26 September 2001 - The varsity team will debut this weekend at the Griak Invitational. The Roy Griak Invite boasts a stacked roster, including 17 women's and 15 men's teams from last years national championships. Columbia Women are currently ranked 25th in the national poll. See more here

monmouth
19 September 2001 - We continue to move forward. The Fordham meet was canceled last weekend, so the whole team travels to Monmouth in New Jersey on Saturday. Check out the updated roster and schedule. Individual bios coming soon.
tragedy at home
16 September 2001 - Our home was attacked last Tuesday and many of us lost good friends. The team has been making every effort to help. People lined up to donate blood and other needed items. Please donate here!

08 September 2001 - The Lions made their season debut at VCP today with a small squad. Against some strong teams, the freshmen showed they were ready for whatever the ncaa could throw at them. See more here!
women ranked
07 September 2001 - For the first time in school history, Columbia was ranked in the national poll coming into the season. The ladies were ranked 23rd in the nation in the most recent poll, ahead of Michigan and Duke. Yale was ranked 7th. No Ivy League men's team was ranked. See the rankings here!
the road to nationals
06 September 2001 - After an eventful year -- the first Columbia squad ever to make nationals -- the lions are the top returning team in the northeast. The team welcomes many new faces; about 70 harriers donning the blue and white. Stay tuned as we make our way to the national level.
