Send an e-mail to Majordomo@columbia.edu with a BLANK subject and this in the message body: subscribe econsociety. You will then get a response from the majordomo system asking to verify the subscription, that automated e-mail will explain how to confirm the subscription. Just remember that when interacting with the majordomo system, the subject should be blank.
