#1: Relator Code examples:  aut = author, asn = associated name (default for 700 entries); see also LC Code List

#2:  Michigan's separately fielded "first edition" and republication citations should be combined on export into single dd534 and dd510 fields. See details in Phase II conversion spec sections on "APIS Preferred Citation Note (cu524)" and "Republication Note (cu510)".

#3:  In the APIS central database, the preferred format for encoding names is in separate element/attribute clusters, which allows for more efficient searching and browsing.  See APIS Personal Names guidelines.
