Protecting her.
So, despite Bob's apprehension, I made a date with Dorothy to have lunch with her. We had lunch at the Commodore Hotel close to Grand Central Station because she had to take a train. I told her my idea, and I said, “My dream is, Dorothy, that you would do one of these books for us.” She said, “Do one of these books? You've shown me your list of the first ten. I want to do two of them!”
I didn't know that she had done any of them.
I fell off my chair. She signed for two! I came back to Haas. He said, “What did she say?" I replied, “She's not going to do one book.” He said, “I told you so.” I said, “She's going to do two.”
What two has she done? Or don't you remember?
One was about the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution; the other was about Paul Revere and the Minute Men.
Oh, those are wonderful books. And, of course, now, that series is...
The series took off like a rocket. It was a great success.
