there any reason, with the possible exception of time pressures why he can't continue to be somehow involved with your operation here?

Clark:

If we continue our operation, in light of the--there's no reason why not. I mean, except as you say, time, and he'll be realistic about that. I certainly would want to be realistic about it.

Q:

Now, what I was going to ask you about further on small business was that, am I recalling correctly that, quite recently in fact, Richard Nixon appeared here? I believe it was in New York City at a dinner or something, and he was the speaker to a fairly large group of small businessman, perhaps two or three hundred, and they were minority businessmen.

Clark:

He was very supportive of minority small business.

Q:

In the t.v. clip that I saw of him he made a statement to the effect that, I suppose he was talking about early in his administration or some years back--anyway, that such a large assembly of minority businessmen, especially black businessmen, small businessmen would not have been possible.

Clark:

Before his administration?

Q:

Probably, he was talking about before or maybe early in his administration, as I recall. He was really attributing this
