All right. I think you mentioned, at the conclusion of our
first session, Dr. Clark, that you thought you might like to go into
your period at Howard University.
Discuss not only what you did there, but how this also shaped
the direction that you would go in the future.
Yes. Howard University, again, as far as I see, looking
back on it, was one of those, to me, very fortunate accidents. I
decided to go to Howard University on a very curious basis. During
the summer, I used to go to a recreational program, held in one of
the schools. I don't remember what school it was, but they had these
