Let's see -- what was Van den Heuvel's first name?
William, William van den Heuvel. Want me to tell you a little bit about him?
Yes, further identify him a bit.
He used to be -- and I suppose he'd be very resentful of this -- but he was described in the New York Times as a shirt carrier for Bobby Kennedy. They had a picture of him carrying his shirt. (laughs) In a little brief case. In any event, he's the most articulate person I know and a guy who's done the least with his enormous abilities. He's run for everything and he's lost for everything. I had a conversation with him here - again in this house -- when... You know, he was a candidate for DA at one time and a candidate for governor and a candidate for Senator. He's run for everything, and he never gets off the ground. There's a certain kind of phoniness about him which he'll never overcome, although he's the most articulate guy there is.
One of my other law partners, John Lankenau, was his roommate at school -- I think they went to Princeton or Cornell, I think Cornell. And Bill van den Heuvel comes from a Dutch immigrant family -- poor -- who worked their way up and got a son who was well-educated and so forth and moves in the best of circles. But he's the kind of guy you can only describe as a climber -- but very attractive and people sort of like his company.
