that well publicized. But we do seem to know everybody, and anybody we don't know seems to be happy to see us -- or at least moderately happy.
Certainly the Lasker Foundation is well known in medical circles, internationally, isn't it?
Well, I think that helps, yes.
One thing that I was interested in was to help New York University get a comprehensive cancer research center. New York University's medical school, and I think I halped to expedite it for Dr. Yarbor through a meeting between Dr. Yarbor Dr. Haster and Dr. Bennett of NYU. Dr. Yarbor represented the National Cancer Institute.
We had an outstanding conference, a national conference on immunology and virology of human cancer, at the Wildorf on the 29th, 30th of November and the 1st of December, which was sponsored by Mrs. Enid Haupt, a great friend of mine. She did this at my suggestion through the American Cancer Society. There were about 3000 people there for those three days, doctors there, showing a tremendous interest in the immunology and virology of cancer.

This is the hot area. At this conference Dr. Spiegelman spoke. I don't think he gave as comprehensive a description of his work as I would have hoped for. As I understand it, he has found
