Lasker:

They did. They had one a year and a half ago.

Q:

And Alice went to it.

Lasker:

Alice went to it and it was simply marvelous.

Q:

But are they not planning another one for this year?

Lasker:

There's nothing that I know of planned at the moment, but it was a success which mode about $200,000 for Versailles, and the women were more prettily dressed than they had been since the death of Narie Anteinette or at least since the time she left the palace.

Q:

New waren't you sorry you there?

Lasker:

I was sorry, but I stayed because of the cancer conference.

On the 20th of December I went to celebrate Mrs. Iyndon Johnson's birthday in Texas. Some friends of hers had arranged a fastivity for the 21st because they lived at an antonio, and we went to the dedication of a fountain given in her honor right outside the Alamo, a charming fountain that had been given by
