field of family planning, and so is hers. The Mexican government has recently gotten interested in family planning, and I've been trying to help them to get more funds both for the voluntary organizations for family planning in Mexico and for federal money, and I think maybe this fall we might make it.

Q:

What sort of target do you have in terms of money?

Lasker:

Well, I would think that it would be not huge money right away, but the Mexican government is beginning to give a little money, and the state of Vera Cruz is making quite a big effort in family planning just recently. I went to visit their family planning organization in Mexico City, and it was like a family planning organization anywhere -- it's always a little bit sketchy. It's not like a big industry or a big hospital, but the spirit and interest of the people is vary strong.

When did you visit there?

Lasker:

I was there in April.

Lasker:

Yes. I'm really very anxious that Mexico should
