Yes, she has.
That brings up the subject of beautification. Was there
anything in that area that you were involved in?
Oh well, I did plant a -- cherry trees, I guess from
about 70th to I think 86th St. on First Avenue this year.
On First Avenue?
Yes. And she and I, at least I intend to plant Calery
and Bartlett Pears, trees, on Second Avenue and maybe on Third
Avenue this fall. Between let's say 50th to 72nd.
This is along the sidewalk?
On the sidewalks, yes, because I think that the trees
in the city that have now been planted for a few years are making
the city look much prettier, on the East Side. Don't you?
Oh yes indeed.
Don't you notice it?
Are pears hardy enough to plant?
