How does Dr. Gallo feel about it? Does he feel that it's feasible?

Lasker:

He feels it's doable, yes. He thinks it's doable.

Q:

At this stage.

Lasker:

I haven't talked to him in the last two weeks. I'll tell you after I've been to the meeting.

Q:

I have a copy of his letter to you in which he outlines the progress he's made with this whole idea. As I recall, he did say he thought it was doable.

Lasker:

Yes. Of course it dazzles people because it's the thing most to be desired by any people in any country of the world. It's the greatest thing the country could do for other countries. . .the saving of lives. . .don't you think?

Q:

Is Gallo going to be at this meeting?

Lasker:

Yes.

Q:

Good”

Lasker:

All the leading biologists of the world and the heads of research for the major pharmaceutical companies.
